At the start of 2023, Pastor Jesse released the Word of the Lord that 2023 would be a year of "TAKING NEW TERRITORY," and the year was just that. In 2023, we were blessed to host our very first marriage conference: Love for a Lifetime. In the same year, we were able to launch our women's ministry: "She Shines," our men's ministry: "Kingdom Men," and our youth and young adult ministry: "YTH x YA."
While this Word of the Lord came to Pastor Jesse in 2023, it is still working well into 2024. Days before crossing over into 2024, Pastor Jesse received a phone call from Pastor Tony Suarez where Pastor Tony expressed his intentions to hold a tent revival in El Paso, Texas, and asked Cornerstone Church to be a part of "Revival on the Border." We had never been a part of anything of this magnitude, but in faith Pastor Jesse agreed to link arms with Revivalmakers Ministries to make "Revival on the Border" a success. Together, we hosted three nights of anointed, Holy Ghost meetings where the Lord moved in a powerful way. Many called upon the name of the Lord and were baptized, and our church was encouraged and strengthened.
Because of this growth, we are standing on this Word from the Lord to believe God for a new home for Cornerstone Church El Paso. In Joshua 1:3, the Lord says to Joshua, "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses." And in Psalm 37:29, David by the Holy Ghost says, "The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever." We are so excited and expectant for what God is going to do in our church this year!
