about us

Our Story

Cornerstone Church was birthed out of a Pastor's passion to see the Power of God invade families in our city through the teaching and preaching of God's Word. Through this intensity of going after God and yielding completely to the Holy Ghost, lives are changed and families are strengthened. Our prayer is for Jesus to be the very bedrock of every life.

  • A place where people are compassionate to others
  • A place committed to raising, equipping and empowering a generation that is consumed with one purpose: Christ for All Nations!

Our Mission

  • Love God, Love People

Our Values

  • We Value Biblical Principles
  • We Value A Personal Relationship with God
  • We Value Family
  • We Value the Church
  • We Value People

What We Believe

  • We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; II Corinthians 5:19).
  • We believe that, "in Him (Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily," God manifest in flesh, God in Christ reconciling the world unto himself (Colossians 2:9; II Corinthians 5:19, John 1:1, 14).
  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is infallible, inerrant, and the sole and final authority for all matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe that man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God. Through man's transgression and fall, sin entered the world; thus, depriving man to attain divine righteousness. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:23-24)
  • We believe marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. The church may decline to solemnize or host a marriage ceremony that is contrary to the church's belief statements or the Bible.
  • We believe in the importance of partaking in Communion and foot washing. (1 Corinthians 11:23-24; Mark 14:22-24)
  • We believe tithing is (a commandment and) God's financial plan for protection, provision and prosperity. (Malachi 3:10; Luke 6:38; 1 Corinthians 9:3-14)

Meet our Pastor

Jesse Medina is the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church. He has worked with teenagers for two decades and has the heart to see today's youth fulfill their purpose in life. Throughout Pastor Jesse's ministry, his wife and three kids have served along with him. They are all actively involved in church ministry and other community efforts.

Under the Student Ministry led by Pastor Jesse, students had the opportunity to experience an array of ministries. Some of these have included Youth for the Nations Summer Camps at CFNI, Forward Conference, Desperation Conference, Jesus Culture Conference, and 220 Youth Conference at Bethany World Prayer Center. Now, as Senior Pastor, his dream is to see dads and moms, along with their sons and daughters, strongly rooted and passionately pursuing God. Pastor Jesse is on a mission to see lives changed, families strengthened, and the hurting healed by the power of God.

Our Worship Leader

Zachary Medina leads the praise and worship team for Cornerstone Church. He began learning to play piano at seven years old and began leading worship at the age of sixteen for his school. At seventeen, he became the worship director of Cornerstone Church, and now, at the age of twenty, leads a team of young adults to host the presence of God through music every Sunday for church.

Zachary is passionate about music, but is more passionate about his love for God. He is currently studying online with Christ for the Nations Institute based in Dallas, Texas and is expecting to receive a degree in Worship in the near future.

Our Children's Director

Vianey Medina directs the children's ministry of Cornerstone Church. For Cornerstone Kids, she ensures that every child receives a solid Biblical foundation that will leave a mark on them into adulthood.

When Vianey is not planning and prepping for Sunday school, she is teaching second grade at a local Christian school. She loves children, teaching, and showing people the love of Christ.
